;As social media has become an important digital marketing tool， brand information can be rapidly disseminated through online networks and may influence consumers’ product awareness and purchase decisions. However， for firms operating under a Business-to-Business-to-Consumer (B2B2C) sales model， brands do not directly complete transactions with end consumers. Whether social media engagement can be translated into a stable relationship with corporate revenue therefore requires further empirical examination. Drawing on the Six Degrees of Separation Theory and the Strength of Weak Ties Theory， this study investigates the relationships among Facebook engagement， information diffusion， and corporate revenue， using the Taiwan branch of Company C as a case study.
This study collected 36 months of Facebook Page Insights data and internal monthly revenue records from January 2023 to December 2025. Revenue data for January 2026 were additionally obtained for the one-period lag analysis. The variables examined included shares， comments， impressions， number of posts， diffusion conversion rate， current-month revenue， and next-month revenue. Considering the differences in measurement units and numerical scales between social media engagement indicators and revenue， the main social media engagement indicators and revenue variables were transformed into standardized Z-scores for trend comparison and standardized multiple regression analyses. The empirical analyses subsequently included descriptive statistics， Pearson correlation analysis， month-to-month change analysis， current-month and next-month multiple linear regression analyses， and a paired-samples t-test to compare the diffusion conversion rates of different content types.
The results indicate that Facebook shares， comments， impressions， and number of posts had only weak relationships with current-month revenue， and none of these relationships reached statistical significance. The current-month multiple regression model produced an R-squared value of 0.0774 and was not statistically significant. The month-to-month change analysis also failed to identify a significant and stable linear relationship between changes in social media engagement and changes in revenue.
In the one-period lag analysis， the correlations of shares and impressions with next-month revenue were numerically higher than their correlations with current-month revenue. However， comments and number of posts did not show the same pattern， and none of the next-month correlations reached statistical significance. The next-month multiple regression model yielded an R-squared value of 0.0656， which was lower than that of the current-month model， and the overall model was not statistically significant. Therefore， there was insufficient evidence to support the proposition that Facebook engagement indicators were more strongly related to next-month revenue than to current-month revenue.
For the comparison between strong- and weak-tie proxies， shares were used as a proxy for weak-tie diffusion， while comments were used as a proxy for relatively deeper interaction. The absolute correlation between shares and revenue was lower than that between comments and revenue， and neither relationship was statistically significant. Accordingly， the findings did not demonstrate that the weak-tie diffusion proxy had a stronger relationship with revenue than the strong-tie interaction proxy.
Regarding content types， emotional and brand-image content generated a higher average diffusion conversion rate than informational content， but the difference was not statistically significant. Informational content showed a numerically stronger relationship with revenue than emotional and brand-image content， but neither relationship reached statistical significance. Overall， the major hypotheses proposed in this study were not statistically supported.
The findings suggest that， under Company C’s B2B2C sales model， the direct linear relationship between Facebook engagement and monthly corporate revenue is limited. The standardized trend comparisons and standardized multiple regression analyses likewise did not identify a stable and statistically significant linear relationship between social media engagement and revenue. This result does not imply that social media lacks managerial value. Rather， it indicates that social media diffusion and revenue conversion represent different levels of performance and are jointly affected by consumer decision-making， promotional activities， product mix， channel ordering， shipment arrangements， and revenue recognition timing.
The Six Degrees of Separation Theory and the Strength of Weak Ties Theory may still serve as theoretical perspectives for explaining the cross-group diffusion of brand information. Nevertheless， the monthly aggregate data used in this study were insufficient to verify complete network paths or demonstrate that social media diffusion could be consistently translated into corporate revenue. Based on the findings， B2B2C firms may use product trial programs， usage-scenario sharing， consumer referral activities， and coordinated channel campaigns to encourage actual users to share their product experiences with family members， friends， and other social groups， thereby strengthening interpersonal word-of-mouth diffusion. Firms should also establish tracking mechanisms that integrate social media engagement， channel activities， and subsequent sales data. The findings provide practical references for social media performance measurement， content strategy planning， word-of-mouth referral mechanisms， and channel data integration in B2B2C firms.

      <link>https://ir.lib.ncu.edu.tw/handle/987654321/110180</link>

;In response to climate change， major global economies have established &amp;quot;2050 Net-Zero Emissions&amp;quot; targets and implemented carbon pricing mechanisms. The advancement of the EU′s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the U.S. Clean Competition Act (CCA) has officially integrated carbon emissions as a critical cost factor in international trade. To align with global standards， Taiwan promulgated the Climate Change Response Act in 2023， establishing a 2050 net-zero pathway and initiating a carbon fee collection mechanism. However， for Taiwan’s semiconductor industry—characterized by its export-oriented nature， capital intensity， and high R&amp;D investment—the imposition of carbon fees represents more than a mere cost expenditure; it involves a financial hedging effect against the R&amp;D tax credit benefits provided under the Statute for Industrial Innovation.

This study investigates the net impact of Taiwan′s carbon fee policy and the tax incentives under Article 10-2 of the Statute for Industrial Innovation on the financial performance of the semiconductor supply chain. Based on industry representativeness and R&amp;D scale， six key listed companies were selected as research subjects and divided into two groups. Group A (TSMC， MediaTek， and ASE) represents global leaders in wafer fabrication， IC design， and assembly/testing， respectively， characterized by substantial R&amp;D investments to observe their eligibility for Article 10-2 incentives. Group B (VIS， Elan Microelectronics， and KYEC) serves as a comparative group consisting of enterprises with specific process or product advantages， allowing for an analysis of the differences in financial resilience across different scales and technological tiers under the impact of carbon pricing.

The study analyzes financial and carbon emission data from 2019 to 2024. By utilizing carbon emission data disclosed in corporate annual ESG Sustainability Reports， potential carbon cost expenditures are estimated based on the Ministry of Environment’s projected fee rates to explore the actual impact on corporate financial performance.

The results indicate that while all enterprises have set net-zero targets， the implementation of carbon pricing will lead to a structural divergence in financial performance. Leading firms， leveraged by high R&amp;D investments， successfully meet the incentive thresholds of Article 10-2 of the Statute for Industrial Innovation， effectively utilizing income tax credit bonuses to offset the shock of carbon costs. Conversely， small and medium-sized enterprises face significant downward pressure on Earnings Per Share (EPS)， Net Profit Margin， and Return on Equity (ROE) due to lower marginal policy benefits.

The determination of Taiwan’s carbon fee rates and the execution of supporting tax measures will directly influence the allocation of competitive advantages within the semiconductor supply chain. Consequently， a firm′s ability to transform carbon costs into momentum for green transformation and &amp;quot;policy arbitrage&amp;quot; will be a decisive factor in determining its international competitiveness and financial performance.

With the rapid development of 5G communication， electric vehicles， and high-performance computing， electronic products increasingly require high reliability and efficient thermal management. IMS MCPCB has become a key material due to its superior heat dissipation and structural stability. Under this trend， supplier selection has become more complex and requires consideration of multiple criteria beyond cost.
This study develops a supplier selection model for IMS MCPCB using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Based on literature review and expert interviews， six main criteria are identified: quality， cost， delivery， technology， service， and corporate governance. Expert questionnaires are collected， tested for consistency， and used to calculate the weights of each criterion.
The results show that quality is the most important factor， with the highest weight (0.437)， followed by cost， technology， delivery， service， and corporate governance. At the sub-criteria level， shipment quality stability， yield rate， and incoming quality control (IQC) are ranked as the most critical factors， indicating a strong quality-oriented characteristic in the IMS MCPCB industry.
A feasibility validation using three actual suppliers confirms that the AHP model results are consistent with the company’s actual supplier selection. This demonstrates that the proposed model is practical and can serve as a useful tool for supplier selection and management.

      <link>https://ir.lib.ncu.edu.tw/handle/987654321/110174</link>
The Impact of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on Valuation Changes of Taiwan′ s High-Carbon Emission Industries: Evidence from the Steel Industry. abstract:

;With the increasing impact of climate change， global attention to environmental issues has become more prominent， and the imposition of carbon taxes has become an issue that cannot be ignored. In recent years， the European Union has promoted the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)， from its transitional phase announcement to its formal implementation. In the context of today’s rapidly expanding global trade， this policy has generated significant impacts on all industries. This measure not only represents an extension of environmental policy， but also signifies the deep integration of international trade regulations and sustainable governance. Its impact is particularly significant for export-oriented economies such as Taiwan. Due to its high carbon emission intensity， the steel industry has become one of the key sectors included in the first phase of CBAM regulation， and its future competitiveness in the European market will be directly challenged by carbon costs and carbon information disclosure requirements.

This study focuses on Taiwan’s steel industry and employs descriptive statistics and regression analysis to examine the impact of CBAM on corporate operating performance and market valuation. The research design includes carbon emission information transparency， carbon emission intensity， and their relationships with financial indicators， and further analyzes profitability and revenue growth. The literature indicates that the implementation of CBAM will transform external environmental costs， which were previously not reflected in financial statements， into internal financial burdens that firms must bear. At the same time， firms with higher carbon intensity are constrained in export competitiveness， while those undergoing low-carbon transformation may obtain market premiums. In addition， fluctuations in carbon taxation and policy uncertainty increase investors’ risk perception， thereby affecting discount rates and valuation. The transparency of carbon information disclosure has also become an important factor influencing investor confidence and capital flows.

The empirical results of this study show that under the impact of the EU CBAM policy， corporate profitability and sustainable governance mechanisms have a significantly positive effect on firm value. Firms with higher gross profit margins possess better capabilities in cost absorption， price pass-through， and financial resilience， enabling them to effectively mitigate the impact of rising carbon costs and further improve return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). At the same time， firms that establish sustainability committees and enhance information disclosure transparency can strengthen investor confidence and reduce policy uncertainty through institutionalized governance， risk control， and ESG market evaluation effects. However， contrary to the original hypothesis that carbon emission intensity and total emissions would have a negative impact on corporate performance， the empirical results show a significantly positive relationship. This suggests that CBAM is currently still in the stage of policy alignment， and carbon costs have not yet been fully internalized. Therefore， high carbon-emitting firms may still rely on economies of scale， production capacity advantages， market bargaining power， and technological resources to maintain short-term profitability， and the negative effects have not yet fully materialized.

In conclusion， this study finds that the impact of CBAM on firm value has gradually begun to emerge; however， its long-term effects still require further observation and verification as the policy is fully implemented and carbon costs are formally reflected in financial structures. At the same time， it highlights that low-carbon transformation， sustainable governance， and information transparency will become key factors for maintaining international competitiveness and enhancing firm value in the future. Furthermore， this study also points out that the impact of CBAM is not limited to a single industry， but may reshape the overall structure of export-oriented economies. If Taiwan can establish a carbon pricing system at an early stage， improve carbon inventory and information disclosure mechanisms， and assist firms in reducing carbon risks through policy guidance and technological innovation， it may be possible to turn challenges into opportunities and even gain a leading position in the restructuring of global supply chains. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to academia and practical policy implications， thereby supporting the steady development of Taiwan’s industries under the trend of sustainability.
