Taiwan is located along the Circum-Pacific seismic belt and is frequently affected by strong earthquakes, which have caused severe damage and collapse of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings. Many older RC buildings consist of frame systems with masonry infill walls. Although infill walls are commonly treated as nonstructural components, they can significantly affect the lateral stiffness, vibration period, and seismic response of structures. Neglecting their contribution may lead to inaccurate estimations of seismic response, damage probability, and collapse risk. Therefore, this study develops an automated three-dimensional modeling procedure for RC frames with masonry infill walls using OpenSees and Python. Beam and column members are modeled using fiber-based elements, while infill walls are simulated by an equivalent diagonal strut model combined with the Pinching4 material to capture hysteretic and degradation behavior. The proposed numerical model is validated using shaking table test results from the literature by comparing roof displacement, base shear, hysteretic loops, and modal properties. The results show that the model can reasonably capture the stiffness, strength, and energy dissipation behavior of infilled RC frames, and that the inclusion of infill walls increases the lateral stiffness of the structural system. Furthermore, incremental dynamic analysis and fragility curves are used to establish a probabilistic seismic risk assessment framework for comparing infilled frames and bare frames. The results indicate that masonry infill walls can effectively reduce lateral deformation demands and collapse risk, demonstrating their contribution to the seismic performance of RC buildings. The proposed automated modeling framework can serve as a useful reference for seismic evaluation and earthquake risk assessment of existing buildings. iii Keywords: Reinforced concrete frame; masonry infill wall; automated modeling; Probabilistic Seismic Risk Assessment.
