;Driven by the global goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, the rapid development of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage systems has increased the demand for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries. Therefore, developing novel anode materials with high capacity and good cycling stability has become an important research topic. In this study, rock-salt-structured Co0.2Cu0.2Mg0.2Ni0.2Zn0.2O high-entropy oxide (HEO) was prepared by spray granulation combined with high-temperature sintering at 900 °C and 1000 °C, and its electrochemical performance as an anode material was investigated. The prepared HEO samples were assembled into HEO/Li half-cells and evaluated through charge–discharge tests, cycling stability analysis, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The sample sintered at 1000 °C exhibited better electrochemical performance, delivering a first specific capacity of 330.05 mAh g-1 after activation, higher than that of the 900 °C-sintered sample, 291.24 mAh g-1. After 100 cycles, the 1000 °C-sintered sample retained 91.21% of its capacity, compared with 86.98% for the 900 °C-sintered sample, indicating improved cycling stability and reaction reversibility. To further evaluate its practical application potential, lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) was selected as the cathode material to assemble HEO/LMFP full cells. Before full-cell assembly, LMFP/Li half-cells were fabricated to analyze the cathode behavior and the effect of calendering-induced porosity variation. The results indicate that the compaction density has a limited effect on the interfacial resistance, while its primary influence is on lithium-ion diffusion. Based on the half-cell results, full-cell operating parameters were established and electrochemical tests were conducted, preliminarily demonstrating the potential of CoCuMgNiZnO high-entropy oxide as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries.
