綜合模擬、實測與最佳化分析結果,本研究所提出之交流半週分流式架構兼具模組化擴充、低成本及自然脈衝應用等優點,可作為鋰電池充電與電解水系統之交流驅動設計參考。;This thesis proposes a freely expandable AC half-wave split lithium-ion battery charging module, which utilizes the alternating conduction characteristics of the positive and negative half-cycles of an AC power source. By employing a diode-based current-splitting mechanism, different battery modules are charged alternately during opposite half-cycles without requiring a bridge rectifier or complex control circuitry. The proposed architecture features a simple circuit configuration, low implementation cost, and excellent expandability.
An equivalent circuit model is first established to investigate the relationship between the AC input voltage and the number of expandable battery modules. Computer simulations and hardware experiments are then conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed charging system. The results demonstrate that each battery module can be charged alternately during different AC half-cycles, while a higher input voltage enables additional battery modules to be incorporated, confirming the system′s favorable linear scalability.
Furthermore, the proposed AC half-wave split concept is extended to water electrolysis applications. The naturally generated pulsed current produced by the alternating AC half-cycles effectively reduces gas bubble adhesion on the electrode surface, thereby improving the electrolysis performance. In addition, the Taguchi method and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are employed to evaluate the effects of AC input voltage, module expansion scale, and current-limiting resistance on system performance and to determine the optimal parameter combination.
Based on the simulation, experimental, and optimization results, the proposed AC half-wave split architecture provides a simple, low-cost, and modular charging solution with natural pulse charging capability. The proposed system demonstrates promising potential for both lithium-ion battery charging and water electrolysis applications.
