;The phenomenon of a droplet contacting a surface, spreading outward over time, and eventually receding and disappearing due to evaporation is highly common in daily life. The spreading and evaporation behavior of droplets is widely applied across numerous fields, such as inkjet printing, thin-film coating, and forensic science. Since these applications have distinct requirements for the final distribution of deposits left after droplet evaporation, and because the spreading and evaporation stages dictate the ultimate area of these deposits, investigating droplet spreading and evaporation behavior is of great significance for controlling internal deposit distribution. In this study, a solution of 30 wt% glycerol–n-propanol was utilized to analyze the spreading and evaporation characteristics of droplets on hydrophilic glass substrates at temperatures of 25, 30, 40, and 50°C. High-speed cameras, stereomicroscopes, and infrared thermal imagers were employed to measure the evolution of droplet geometry and surface temperature distribution, facilitating a comparison of the dynamic behavior of droplets under different substrate temperatures. The results indicate that increasing the substrate temperature accelerates both droplet spreading and evaporation, with the maximum spreading diameter increasing monotonically with temperature. Furthermore, following the initial inertial and viscous spreading stages, a "re-spreading" phenomenon emerged, which became more pronounced as the substrate temperature rose. These findings suggest that high temperatures induce changes in droplet viscosity and internal concentration, which may alter the internal force balance of the droplet and consequently influence its spreading behavior.
