;This thesis examines the global connector industry using the Structure–Conduct–Performance (S-C-P) framework from industrial economics to describe how competitive conditions have evolved amid rapid external changes. Although connectors are basic components, they enable power, signal, and data transmission, and their applications have expanded from traditional consumer electronics to automotive electronics, servers, data centers, and artificial intelligence-related systems. As a result, industry competition is shaped not only by cost and mass-production efficiency, but also by technological upgrading, application differentiation, supply chain reconfiguration, and institutional requirements. This study relies primarily on secondary data analysis, supplemented by qualitative and comparative analysis, drawing on publicly available industry reports and disclosed information. With respect to basic conditions and government policy, the connector industry has been influenced by AI and high-performance computing demand, automotive electrification, geopolitics, trade measures, and sustainability requirements. These factors collectively shift the competitive basis toward technological capability, supply resilience, and compliance. In terms of basic conditions, access to raw materials, engineering capability, talent availability, capital intensity, and demand growth affect feasible product positioning and application entry. In terms of policy, industrial support, localization initiatives, trade restrictions, and sustainability rules affect demand formation, regional production arrangements, and compliance costs, thereby reshaping competitive conditions. Regarding market structure, while the industry involves many firms, market power tends to concentrate among leading players with scale, technology, and global supply capacity, and key application areas differ in price elasticity, substitutability, qualification cycles, and the durability of supply relationships. Regarding firm conduct, competition extends beyond pricing to product strategy, R&D and innovation, strategic alliances, capacity allocation, and M&A. Regarding market performance, firms show observable differences in revenue, gross margin, net margin, return on assets, return on equity, and earnings per share, which are closely related to application focus, product positioning, customer structure, and strategic adjustments. The findings of this study may serve as a useful reference for understanding the recent competitive characteristics and development direction of the connector industry.
