;In recent years, amid escalating Sino-US trade friction, heightened geopolitical risks, and increasing demands from international brand customers for supply chain resilience and diversified production locations, Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturing plants have gradually shifted from their previously highly concentrated production model in Mainland China toward a China-plus-one strategy that balances risk diversification with flexible scheduling. In this trend, Vietnam has emerged as a crucial location for Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturers to extend their overseas production capacity. However, for the SMT electronics manufacturing industry, which heavily relies on equipment precision, process stability, and yield control, establishing new production bases is not merely a simple geographical relocation but involves multiple challenges including equipment configuration, technology transfer, personnel training, maintenance support, and supply chain integration. This study takes equipment distributors as the research subject and, based on the practical experience of a case company in supporting Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturing plants to establish factories in Vietnam, explores how Total life cycle solution can assist clients in addressing market migration and challenges under the China-plus-one manufacturing strategy. The research findings indicate that when Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturing plants relocate to Vietnam, they primarily face issues such as new and old equipment investment decisions, local policy and infrastructure constraints, and insufficient cross-border maintenance resources and professional skills. Initially, if relying solely on equipment transfer without continuous support, new factories often struggle to achieve the same output and quality levels as established mature facilities in the short term. This study further organizes the service model of the case company and finds that equipment distributors should transform from traditional equipment sellers into comprehensive solution providers. Through five stages—preliminary planning and factory assessment, equipment installation and trial production verification, mass production assistance and stable output, maintenance and after-sales service, and subsequent upgrades, expansion, and reinvestment—a more complete Total life cycle solution support framework can be formed. This model not only helps reduce clients′ initial factory establishment risks but also enhances production efficiency, maintains equipment stability, increases customer loyalty, and strengthens equipment distributors′ support capabilities for Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturing plants′ cross-border transitions. In summary, this study concludes that equipment distributors′ Total life cycle solution represents not merely a service model but a differential competitive advantage that can support Taiwanese-funded electronics manufacturing plants in responding to the China-plus-one manufacturing strategy and entering Vietnam′s emerging market.
