;As manufacturing processes in the high-tech industry become increasingly complex, along with the continuous increase in the variety and quantity of chemicals used, occupational chemical exposure risk assessment has become an important issue in occupational health management. However, different exposure assessment methods vary in their theoretical frameworks, input parameters, and decision-making logic, which may lead to different risk classification results under the same exposure scenario. This study focuses on process chemicals used in a TFT-LCD manufacturing plant in Taiwan. A total of 75 chemicals with established occupational exposure limits (OELs) were screened and evaluated using five exposure assessment methods including CCB, SQRA, AIHA-SVP, TW-Quantitative Tool, and ECETOC TRA v3.2. To compare the differences and industrial applicability of these methods, analyses were conducted on risk rating distributions, method-specific decision-making characteristics, concordance, and correlations. The results showed clear differences in risk determination among the five exposure assessment methods. The overall concordance analysis yielded a Kendall’s W of 0.321 (p < 0.001), indicating statistically significant but only moderate agreement among the five methods. Correlation analysis further revealed higher correlations between CCB and SQRA, as well as between the TW-Quantitative Tool and ECETOC TRA v3.2, suggesting that methods with similar decision-making logic tend to produce more similar assessment outcomes. Overall, the five exposure assessment methods have distinct applicability profiles in TFT-LCD manufacturing processes. Although they exhibit certain common trends, they are not mutually interchangeable. Therefore, in practical applications, appropriate methods should be selected according to the assessment objectives to improve the rationality of risk determination and the effectiveness of risk management.
