摘要: A modified formulation for calculating the bremsstrahlung polarization correlations between incident electron and photon in the field of atoms with the relativistic partial-wave method is given. With the partial-wave method we calculated numerically the polarization correlations of bremsstrahlung for kinetic energies of incident electrons T-1 = 1 MeV to 2.5 MeV, and for atoms with atomic number Z = 1, 13, and 79. Our partial-wave results indicate that the polarization correlations are almost independent of the atomic-electron screening in this intermediate-electron-energy region. This indicates that the shape of the polarized photon energy-angle distributions is also almost independent of atomic-electron screening, just as the unpolarized case. We compared our partial-wave results with experiment and approximate theorectical results.
