二次世界大戰後期，台灣在殖民的統治下，因應日本政府推動皇民化運動，而在文壇有了皇民文學的出現。殖民政府的用意，在於鼓勵皇民文學創作，試圖藉由文學力量來促使台灣人效忠日本帝國，成為支援日本戰事需要的一部份。對處於殖民體制下的台灣作家而言，由於個人生長環境與社會背景的不同，對於殖民國的態度也因人而異。在此時期他們所撰寫的文章是否具有鼓吹戰爭、向皇民思想傾斜意圖，在戰後台灣知識份子們的討論之下，也產生了不同的詮釋與評價。跟隨著歷史的推移，我們可以發現，皇民文學成為被拿來檢視國族主義、民族意識的議題，而從討論過程所呈現出來的各方觀點，也能反過來印證戰後台灣文學的發展脈絡。 是故本論文將以皇民文學論爭的相關討論文章為研究主體，透過了解論爭者文學理念及論爭場域特色，進一步分析論爭中的各方觀點差異所在。嘗試將皇民文學論爭的過程置於台灣文學的脈絡之中，探討在歷史政治文化等錯綜複雜因素交互影響之下，皇民文學的歷史價值與定位。 During the last period of World War II, Taiwan who was under the colonial governance obeyed Japanese government policy to promote Kou-Min-Ka Movement , and Kou-Min Literature appeared in Taiwan literary circles for the first time. The colonial government’s intention is to inspire writers to write Kou-Min Literature, and use literature strength to encourage Taiwanese to devote their life to Japan Empire, and could become supporting part of the Japanese warfare demand. Under the Japanese colonial reign, because of the dissimilarity of personal growth environment and the social background, Taiwanese writers’ attitude to the colonial government was deferent from person to person. At this period, whether the meaning of articles they wrote inspires the war and the thought inclines to Kou-Min-Ka Movement or not, it has caused many different explains and valuations in the discussion of Taiwanese intellectuals in postwar Taiwan literature. Follow the change of history, we could find Kou-Min Literature has become an issue that uses to examine Nationalism and Race Consciousness. And from inspecting everyone's opinion during the process of discussion, we could conversely use these opinions to prove the context of postwar Taiwan literature development. Therefore, this thesis is to use the articles about the controversy of Kou-Min Literature as main part, and analyze different standpoints in this controversy through realizing these intellectuals’ literature concept and the position of media that published all related articles. Finally, put the controversy about Kou-Min Literature into the context of the Taiwanese literature, and try to search historical value and position of Kou-Min Literature.
