中大高能組負責製作四分之一CMS-preshower 探測器所需的矽探測器,我們目前以進入量產與封裝的階段。將來在擷取數據實際操作時,我們必須隨時監測偵測器整體的電壓、電流、溫度等環境參數,以確保探測器有效的運轉。為了達成此一目的我們將設計並建造一探測器監控系統,隨時可以瞭解探測器各零組件的狀況並隨時監控它們的參數。這個監控器分成以下四部份: 1. 溫度監控 2. 溫濕度監控 3. 冷卻液流量監控 4. 電性監控。Our NCU HEP group has been involved in the CMS Preshower project since 2000 with the production of ?(1200 pieces) of the needed silicon sensors. Now we are on the stage of full silicon production process, the corresponding sensor qualification and readout module assembly. One important issue in building a complex detector such as CMS Preshower is the ability to oversee and safeguard its proper functioning continuously. To achieve this, a monitoring and control system is needed to ensure all parts of the detector and its environment is within the specify safety margin. The Detector Control System (DCS) for the CMS Preshower comprises several distinct parts: 1. Monitoring and control of some heating elements, in order to regulate the temperature of the exterior surface of the Preshower 2. Monitoring of environmental sensors (temperature, humidity), possibly as part of the Preshower Detector Safety System (DSS). 3. Monitoring of the flow of coolant liquid to/from the Preshower, and possible smoke in the Preshower, also for inclusion into the DSS 4. Monitoring of the electronics system (voltages, currents, temperatures) In this proposal, our group would like to take charge of the development/deployment of CMS Preshower DCS system in its entirety including both hardware and software aspects of the whole DCS system. 研究期間:9508 ~ 9607
