本計畫為建立南中國海地區的海嘯預警系統,我們利用W phase可以迅速得到大地震的震源參數,依據此震源參數計算海底地形的起伏,此起伏作為單位海嘯的權重,經由線性組合,便可快速的合成地震所產生的海嘯波,作為預警的依據。此計畫將分成兩大部份: 1. 以過去南中國海地區大地震的資料,來測試並獲知W phase逆推震源的最佳參數組合。 2. 將南中國海地區的的可能震源區分成單位面積的組合,並用COMCOT程式計算每一單位面積的單位海嘯,存入資料庫作為大地震發生時,合成海嘯波之用。 Together with W phase inversion and unit tsunami method, we propose to establish a seismic tsunami warning system in South China Sea (SCS) region. The establishment will include two phases. The first phase will assess the applicability of W phase inversion for earthquakes in SCS region by analyzing data of past events from virtual extended BATS. We will test several scenarios to gain experience on W phase inversion and to determine the optimal parameters that are most suitable for the source-receiver characteristics of SCS earthquakes. During the second phase, we will divide the potential seismogenic zone, namely, the entire Manila trench, into a group of unit areas and the unit tsunamis, wavefields of a unit seafloor offset, of each unit area will be calculated with results stored in database. The predicted tsunami wavefields of a tsunamigenic earthquake are then derived through linear combinations of unit tsunamis with weighting factors determined by earthquake parameters from W phase inversion. Since unit tsunamis are stored in database, the seismic tsunami warning system is able to predict tsunami waves for SCS about 15 min after the origin time of tsunamigenic earthquakes, complementary to the tsunami early warning system proposed earlier. 研究期間:10001 ~ 10012
