    Abstract: 近年來節能減碳的綠色環保意識抬頭,發光二極體(Light emitting diode, LED)由於其省電、轉換效率高、壽命長而隨著技術突破亮度足以媲美白熾燈及螢光燈等高耗能的發光元件,因此各國政府都訂定能源政策分階段目標,全力發展LED產業,並設立目標禁用/禁產耗能照明元件,由於這股風潮連帶上中下游產業也同時蓬勃發展。 台灣於2010年已成為全球LED 晶粒產量第一的地區,但是對上游藍寶石基板與長晶之佈局相對缺乏。藍寶石晶片為高亮度LED 磊晶用基板,隨著近年LED 產業快速擴張,產業投資熱度提升、廠商競相投入擴產,其中尤以亞洲廠商最為積極。以往藍寶石長晶技術與產能規模,皆以美國與俄羅斯廠商位居領導地位,然而亞洲各國廠商在大廠資源投注與政府重點支持下,產能短期內大幅提升。 本研究即欲藉由藍寶石基板產業分析及個案公司競爭優勢以「需求特徵分析」問卷調查方式探討個案公司如何在產業強力競爭環境下,建立競爭優勢及順應產業環境快速變化調整策略,以屹立於競爭激流中而不動搖,進而在各項資源整合下,未來將成為國內主要領導廠商,並立足亞洲放眼全球市場,成為世界級主要的藍寶石供應商。The eco-friendly consciousness for energy conservation and carbon reduction has been rising in recent years. With the LED (Light Emitting Diode, LED) making breakthrough in brightness, its advantages such as saving electricity, high energy conversion efficiency and long lifetime making it become the one which can compete with incandescent light bulbs, fluorescent lamps… such high energy consuming light-emitting components. Hence, many countries have constructed energy policies to achieve a long-term goal by developing LED industries with full strength; meanwhile, they set up the goal to ban on using/producing energy consuming light-emitting components, which this tendency has led to the prosperity for LED industries from manufacturers to retailers. In 2010 Taiwan has become the region that yielding most LED chips in the world. Nonetheless, the layout for manufacturing Sapphire Wafer and Ingot Growth is relatively insufficient. The Sapphire Wafer is the high bright LED substrate; with the rapid development and the high demand for LED industry, many manufacturers have invested in expanding the production during these years, particularly the Asian manufacturers have taken great effort in this area. In the past, the American and Russian manufacturers played the leading roles in the technology of Sapphire Wafer and Ingot Growth. Nevertheless, due to the main Asian manufacturers’ investment and the governments’ support, their capacity has raised quickly in the short run. This research mainly adopts the 「The Analysis of Characteristics」 questionnaire to analyze the case study in Sapphire Wafer industry; via this case study, it would reveal that how this company establishing its own competitive advantage and adjusting its strategy promptly to occupy an important place in such highly competitive industrial environment. By integrating all kinds of resources, this company will be the leading domestic manufacturer in the future, getting foothold in Asia to expand the global market, and one day becoming the world-class main Sapphire supplier.
