    Abstract: 以光熱折變玻璃(photo-thermal refractive (PTR)) 所製作之體積全像光柵(volume Bragg grating(VBG))因其極窄反射光譜、可控制反射率、高損害閥值、低插入損耗、大尺寸與大適用波長範圍之特性將可以此單一元件取代雷射反射鏡、光譜窄化元件及色散元件而使得雷射系統達到增加雷射輸出功率與光譜亮度甚至單縱模可調波長之效果。 VBG 於不同雷射系統中之泛用性極高,一但能掌握此技術,將會對日後雷射的設計與應用有重大而深遠的影響,創造出更簡便、廉價與高效能的雷射系統。本計畫將於本年度繼續上年度發展之中低功率固態CW, PTR VBG 雷射系統,完成對基礎特性之了解與研究。於本年度致力發展PTR VBG 二倍頻系統與單縱模Q-switch 系統以伸展適用範圍,進而發展不同雷射介質與高功率及可調波長系統及不同的雷射腔設計以達到更高的效率以及簡便而更有彈性之結構。於第三年本計畫將基於前兩年發展之 VBG 雷射技術及平台與其他領域合作開發實用化之雷射系統,預計將以雷射光譜、精密量測、生醫光電及材料科學所需之光源為主要方向。 ; Volume Bragg gratings (VBG) recorded on photo-thermal refractive (PTR) glass have extremely narrow reflection spectrum, controllable peak reflectivity, high damage threshold, low insertion loss, large clear aperture and wide transparent range. These unique features make possible using one single element to replace laser mirror, spectral narrowing element and dispersive element in a laser cavity and enhance the laser output power, spectral brightness and even achieve single longitudinal operation and wavelength tenability. VBG is such a versatile element which is expected to have a fundamental impact to laser designs and applications. With such element, much simple, inexpensive and high efficient laser systems can be easily realized. This project will continue developing and studying the mid-low power solid-state CW, PTR VBG laser which is developed in the previous year. Second harmonic VBG and single longitudinal mode Q-switched VBG laser system will be developed this year to extend the applications. Further investigation on different laser media and high power wavelength tunable systems will be focused to achieve more efficient, simple and flexible designs. In the third year, more effect will be put in laser spectroscopy, precision measurement, bio-medical applications and material sciences applications of the VBG laser systems based on the previous study ; 研究期間 9708 ~ 9807
