| 摘要: | 隨著電信、廣播電視和網路服務的發展，促使了一個創新的概念 - 數位家庭。數位家庭所帶來的新變革及新應用，主要應來自於兩大方向：第一、產品數位化；第二、數位化產品的整合。數位家庭以家庭客廳為最主要應用環境，建立起各種裝置的連接性與互通性，希望藉由結合各種不同的數位設備產品與內容，來不斷擴展家庭與行動方面的數位娛樂體驗。這是一個全新的生活方式，讓消費者只要待在家中，就能夠自由自在地享受數位娛樂效果，包括音樂、電影、相片、TV…等。然而Media Center產品在數位家庭中扮演數位媒體匯流中心角色，能處理數位化家庭中絕大多數之媒體應用工作，如處理相片、音樂、影片、連接行動裝置、欣賞網路媒體等。目前最多Media Center製造商所採用之架構以PC-based為多，這些Media Center多半被稱為Media Center PC或Entertainment PC。目前與相關數位內容業者充分合作的Media Center硬體發展平台有Intel Viiv和AMD Live! 本計畫考量產品功能和成本，將規劃一個在嵌入式系統上的多媒體中心 (Media Center) 架構，最終目標能讓使用者只要躺在客廳沙發上，就能夠舒服愜意地享受數位多媒體娛樂，包括電影、音樂、相片…，並進一步藉由網路互相分享這些資源。本計畫希望達到的主要目標如下： (A) 支援網路上常見的多媒體格式，包括影片、音樂、照片和字幕。 (B) 因為是由遙控器操作，所以在設計上需考慮習慣於操作電視機的使用者，且保持操作簡單、穩定和耐用的特點。 (C) 能夠讓多媒體中心與家用電腦做檔案分享，以及讓多媒體中心直接連上網際網路分享檔案 ; With the development of telecommunication, TV broadcasting and internet services, an innovation concept has been evolved, the concept of digital home. This new evolution mainly comes from two aspects: product digitalization and digital convergence. Living rooms are the main scenario of digital home. We want to build up an environment that enables the interoperability of various kinds of devices in order to expand the entertainment experience in family activities. This is a brand new living style that we can enjoy all the digital contents, including music, movies, photographs, TV, and so on, by just a few presses on the remote control in our living room. However, Media Center products in the digital home play a role for digital media convergence center, and are able to handle several of the majority of the family's media applications, such as dealing with photos, music, films, mobile devices and watch other media on Internet. At present the most Media Center manufacturers use PC based architecture, so these Media Center are mostly known as Media Center PC or Entertainment PC. Nowadays, related digital content industry cooperate fully Media Center hardware platform with Intel Viiv and AMD Live! Take the product functionality and cost into consideration, we plan to build up a Media Center framework based on the embedded system. The ultimate goal is to allow users lying on the living room sofa, and enjoy the comfortable digital multimedia entertainment, including movies, music, and photo. The project hopes to achieve the following main objectives: (A) Supports most of the formats used on the Internet, including video codecs, music formats, image formats, subtitle formats, and so on. (B) Design a user interface that is perfectly fit for remote control and TV as input and output.
