本篇論文之目標是合成出以萘分子為建構單元之平面化萘寡聚分子,所採用合成策略為酸催化二萘基苯基甲醇之環化反應。首先探討一系列不同苯環上官能基對環化反應選擇性及產率之影響,擇定帶醯胺基之二萘基苯基甲醇為適當之系統,並發展出一鍋化反應合成平面化四聚體及五聚體之前驅物。最後在酸性中環化得到目標平面化萘寡聚分子,並測量其光學及電化學性質。 The major goal of this thesis is to construct and study planarized naphthalene oligomers. We employed an acid catalyzed intramolecular cyclization of dinaphthyl aryl methanol units as the key reaction. We first attempted to fine-tune the yield and selectivity of the cyclization by altering the functional group attached to the phenyl group. From these model studies, we decided amide substituted dinaphthyl aryl methanol to be the proper substrate for further studies. We then developed a one-pot reaction to synthesize the precursor to planarized tetramer and pentamer. The target planarized molecules were obtained under various acidic conditions. Theirphotophysical and electrochemical properties are also studied.
