    摘要: 研究期間:10304~10403;This bilateral joint project is aimed to further development of advanced materials for energy storage devices and enhancing the cooperation between Taiwan and India on this subject. Both teams have been communicating each other since 2010 when Prof. A.K. Shukla of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) led his team to visit National Central University (NCU) to attend "Taiwan-India Bilateral Workshop on Energy Storage Devices." NCU invited Prof. Shukla to visit Taiwan again in April this year to discuss building formal cooperative mechanism between the two sides. An MOU between NCU and IISc was signed in this past July. We hope to solidify the cooperative relationship through this project. ITRI's Material and Chemical Research Laboratories will also join the Taiwan team to help bringing research results to practical application. We will work on three major areas: polymer electrolyte fuel cells, lithium ion batteries, and super capacitors. On the fuel cells part, task will be focused on the interaction between ordered porous carbon support and the catalysts and hope to increase catalytic activity while reducing cost. For the lithium ion batteries, we will develop advanced carbon and composite carbon materials for negative (Taiwanese side) and positive (Indian side) electrodes. Advanced material analysis will be carried out at National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center. For the super capacitors, we will develop new carbon material for the electrodes and investigate on matching electrolyte and operating conditions.
