Abstract: 研究期間:10207~10212;Enhancement of energy efficiency in whire LED device and application. LED solid-state lighting has been reqrded as the most promising and energy-efficient light source in next-generation lighting. An LED light source with 200 lm/W is expected to save 50% and more energy in lighting and 10% in global electricity consumption. However, the energy efficiency of current LED can be effectively improved through some advanced technology and in some applications. Here we propose a one and half year project entitled “Enhancement of energy efficiency in whire LED device and application”, which is aimed to develop new technologies to enhance energy efficiency of white LEDs, including device and system level. The project contains four sub-projects. The first subproject is to study light extraction and directionality enhancement. The target of the subproject is to achieve 85% in light extraction and 400% in directionality enhancement. The second subproject is to develop advanced technology to increase to a very top level, which is 70%. Such efficiency may correspond to 190 lm/W in the worldwide LED roadmap. The third subproject is to study electrical-thermal couple effect in power injection. The optimization power injection path will benefit the induced heat and reduce the thermaleffect in LED. The forth subproject is to study advanced technology in passive thermal dissipation, including natural air convention and thermal phase change. The termal induced decay can be reduced to 40% and is helpful to LED luminaire in energy saving.
