    摘要: 研究期間:10108~10207;In this three-yearʼs project (from summer 2010 to summer 2013), LHC operation is in the start-up phase. In this critical period, we will perform the following three major tasks: (1) continue the maintenance and operation of the Preshower detector which is our hardware responsibility and maintain the Preshower simulation and reconstruction softwares in CMSSW, databases and data quality monitoring; (2) Preshower in-situ MIP calibration and ES-EE inter-calibrations; (3) use the first three yearʼs data to search for the fourth generation quark. We will focus on the b´→cW channel. The higher center of mass energy of LHC provides larger b´ production cross section, so we can explore the full b´ mass coverage for the first time and have the potential to discover the fourth generation quarks if they exist or exclude its existence completely.
