本實驗合成出一系列不對稱的具有紅色螢光性質馬來胺衍生物1a-f,彼此間結構的差別在於所接的苯環衍生物的個數不同,所有最終產物光色從橘紅光到紅光範圍,在熱化學性質方面,都可觀察到玻璃轉化溫度63-109℃,熔點在150 ℃以上。在電化學測量方面,都有氧化還原峰出現,具有良好的電化學可逆性。所製成的元件,發光顏色包括了黃綠光區、橘紅光區、以及紅光區的範圍,我們利用此一性質,達到調整元件光色的效果。所有元件都具有低的驅動電壓4.0-5.0 V,最高亮度可到達9750 cd/m2,CIE (x = 0.65 , y = 0.34)相當接近理想的紅光 (CIE : x = 0.67 , y = 0.37)。 Derivatives of unsymmetrical indolylmaleimide 1a-f are prepared by Suzuki coupling. All the six compounds 1a-f possess indolyl group at C(2) position of the maleimide, where at C(3) it is substituted by an aryl group(R). All compounds exhibit photoluminescence varying from orange to red. The DSC analysis of the maleimides 1a-f reveal glass transition temperature ranging from 63 to 109 ℃, and melting temperature above 150℃. Their electrochemical properties by CV measurements show reversible oxidation and reduction waves. The OLEDs fabricated by these maleimides emit red to orange luminescence. A typical device made of 1f can be turned on at 4.0-5.0 V with a maximum intensity of ~ 9750 cd/m2. Its CIE (x = 0.65, y = 0.34) corrdinate indicates that the color of emission is close to pure red .
