    Abstract: 研究期間:10208~10307;Knowledge of solute transport through layered geological media is of significant importance to better manage and describe the movement of contaminant in natural and artificial media. Analytical solutions are efficient tools for testing and validating more comprehensively numerical models, performing sensitivity analyses to investigate how various transport processes affect contaminant transport, or serving as screening models. Analytical solutions for solute transport in layered are much more difficult and relatively rare. In this two-year project we attempt to develop some novel analytical solutions for three-dimensional transport in layered media. The novel solution is derived by consecutive applications of Laplace transform in combination with various types of integral transforms. Additionally, the laboratory column and field transport experiments will be carried out to better understand the solute transport behavior in layered media. In the first year, analytical solution for three-dimensional axisymmetrical solute transport is derived and a laboratory column experiment will be executed. In the second year, we will develop the analytical solution for three-dimensional non-axisymmetrical transport in layered media and performed a field transport experiment. The results from this project can be useful for assessing and predicting the transport and fate in various kinds of natural and artificial layered media.
