    Abstract: 研究期間:10208~10307;The project entitled “Development of Novel Catalysts/Adsorbents for Simultaneous Removal of Multipollutants” will collaborate with the researchers specializing in Environmental Engineering and Material Science for developing novel catalysts/adsorbents. The goal aims to remove multipollutants from gas streams simultaneously. “Application of Novel Catalysts/Adsorbents for Removing Gaseous Multipollutants from Gas Streams” is the first sub-project of three. In this study, Prof. Mark J. Rood from University of Illinois in USA is invited for collaboration. Commercial and newly developed catalysts, activated carbons and catalysts/adsorbents will be tested with the lab-scale module for removing dioxin and NOx in the first year. The results can provide essential information regarding material modification to other researchers. The suitable materials will be chosen in the second year and tested in a pilot-scale model for better understanding the effect of real flue gas on removing dioxin and NOx via catalysts/adsorbents. In the third year, materials developed will be tested for long-term efficiency with a pilot-scale module. Adsorption of mercury by catalysts/adsorbents will also be investigated in the third year. Finally, catalysts/adsorbents developed in this research will be evaluated for its effectiveness and efficiency in removing multipollutants from flue gas stream.
