傳統極化區分法之立體投影系統,須包含兩部投影機,以投出各自對應之偏振畫面。而本研究將討論如何僅利用單一台投影機即可進行極化區分法的立體畫面。這樣的系統係利用液晶分子對進入之光線電場進行特定電場方向之偏振狀態控制,透過對液晶控制的技術以電子信號控制液晶偏轉方向使光線之偏振狀態以應用時所需要的方式偏轉,同時將偏振狀態以時間切割成各自不同且具有週期性變化的狀態,並將立體畫面以時間交錯的方式將左右畫片分別交疊於影片之時間軸上使其左右畫面的變化形成週期性之交替,而此左右畫面變化的週期與液晶變化之週期對應並同步之,以產生左右畫面各自對應一特定之偏振狀態光線,再配合傳統的偏振用立體眼鏡,即可達成相同之極化區分法之立體投影系統,但卻僅需要一台極化區分法立體投影機即可達成。 The current polarized light stereoscopic projection system, all includes two projectors to show the different polarization status by each projector. This study will create a new projection system which only includes one projector to present the polarized light stereoscopic projection system. Take the advantage of Liquid Crystal which got well control the light of polarization-status by the different of optical index in different direction. To create a stereoscopic movie for the stereoscopic projection system, we made a special movie which merged the two pictures about left and right picture in different timing of the movie. When play the stereoscopic movie, the projection system should be synchronized the liquid crystal (polarization controller) with the projection system then we can see the stereoscopic image by our eyes while the orthogonal polarizer eyes ware on, which according to the light can be well drove by Liquid Crystal when the electric field of electro-magnate wave through.
