    Title: 微放電與電泳拋光應用於金屬玻璃加工之研究;Study on Metal Glass Machining by Using Micro-Edm and the Electrophoretic Deposition Polishing

    Abstract: 本計畫主要目的在針對金屬玻璃材料,發展一種結合微放電,電化學及電泳拋光加エ,以獲得鏡面效果的加工技術. 本研究首先將採用微放電方法將超硬合金加工成直徑為200μm的微型工具電極, 並探討各種放電加工參數對超硬合金成形精度的影響. 然後利用此微型電極對金屬玻璃進行微孔放電成型, 最後再進行電化學及電泳拋光加工, 並探討各種參數, 例如磨粒大小, 磨粒濃度,分散劑種類, 電流密度, 電流供應波型等參數對金屬玻璃表面粗糙度的影響. ;This study will attempt to combine micro-EDM with electrophoretic deposition polishing to fabricate a mirror-like surface of metal glass. First, a tungsten carbide rod is machined to the required 200 μm diameter using WEDG and micro-EDM at different conditions is used for producing a micro- tool due to melt at high temperature. A micro- tool is coated at various parameters by electrophoretic deposition. Furthermore, it is tested to finish the EDMed micro-mold surface by electrophoretic beposition polishing , instead of the method using conventional ionizing particles and punching machining. The processing parameters, such as various particle concentrations, sizes, surfactants, current density, shape effect and tool life, will be discussed to find steady quality of micro tool and the effect of surface roughness. It expects to develop a novel process of precision micro-concave mold to conform to demand of precision engineering.
