    Abstract: 本3年計劃主軸議題在探討奈米化或異質化在新型能源材料中誘發鐵電與鐵磁互動所增生功能,並開發以普魯士藍為宿主材料的鈉二次電池。普魯士藍奈米顆末沿伸到具核殼結構的聚合材料,並往應用方向設計。利用中子繞射、中子散射、X光繞射、交流磁化率、磁矩、電阻率、比熱、TEM、EDXS的量測,探討磁與電的互動關係,對系統作完整的探討,以期能窺物性之全貌。本計畫擬探討下述四個議題:(1)熱電材料的特異聲子能譜與與高熱電功率的關係(SnSe單晶,與中研院熱電研究群合作);(2)第二類多鐵材料中自發磁性與自發電性的互動(Co3TeO6單晶、Pb2MnO4、LiCu2-xZnxO2單晶,與中山大學及瑞士EPFL合作);(3)奈米化新穎鈉二次電池材料開發及充放電行為探討(多層普魯士藍,與U of Florida合作);(4)新穎超導材料中鐵磁增益或誘發超導性研究(FeTe1-xSex單晶,與台灣大學合作)。各主題均已有初步成果,顯示系統及實驗方法可行,並值得深入探討。奈米顆粒研究亦是主持人十多年來研究主題,本計畫進入核殼奈米顆粒的應用開發,除基本物理特性探討,也將聚焦於應用的開發。 ;In this proposal we focus on the enhanced functionality from ferroelectric and ferromagnetic couplings induced by nano-sized and hetero-structured in new energy materials. In some cases, nanoparticle powder will be packed into selective compacted form for device application test. The basic properties will be studied by measuring neutron scattering, neutron diffraction, X-ray diffraction, resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, specific heat measurements. Special attention will be focus on the interplay between the electric polarization and magnetic polarization. Topics proposed to be studied include (1) thermoelectric material SnSe: connection between high thermoelectric effect and optical phonon & avoid crossing of phonon branches, (2) multiferroic materials Co3TeO6 and Pb2MnO4: pressure induced spontaneous electric polarization, (3) nano-sized Prussian Blue Analogue (PBA): development of Na+-PBA secondary battery, (4) iron-based superconductor FeTe1-xSex: direct interplay between superconductivity and ferromagnetism.
