本研究是以台灣砷化鎵半導體產業鏈的上市(櫃)公司為研究對象，探討由證基會所主持第一、二、三、四屆排名分為七個級距之個案公司，其治理評鑑結果與經營績效之關聯性。經採用文獻探討及次級資料蒐集法分析結果發現：公司治理評鑑排名與公司之獲利能力呈明顯的正向關聯性，而且亦與股利政策、償債能力、獨立董事、董事會成員及功能性委員會等指標密切相關。本研究最後對公司治理機制及後續研究提出建議，做為強化公司治理實務與理論之參考。;This study examines the association between corporate governance evaluation and financial performance for the listed and over-the counter firms in GaAs semiconductor industry chain in Taiwan. Seven categories are determined based on the evaluation results in the TWSE Corporate Governance Evaluation System. The evidence in this case study, which literature review and secondary data collection methods are utilized, shows that the ranking of the corporate governance evaluation is positively correlated with firm profitability. In addition, the evaluation results are closely associated with dividend payouts, debt-paying abilities, board independence, board size and functional committees. This study offers suggestions, based on the findings, to practitioners and the policy makers for the enhancement of corporate governance mechanism and also to researchers for future study.
