;In recent years, the developed country in the world have faced long-term care problems. Besides, COVID-19 outbreaked at the end of 2019. Regarding the physical condition of the elderly and the safety of the long-term care center, the issue of long-term care becomes even more urgent. This paper proposed an IoT applications for smart long-term care, using AWS serverless computing as the core, which can greatly reduce the cost of deploying servers. The physiological data of the elderly is collected through LoRa sensors and uploaded to the cloud for processing, and then the data is stored in the database. If the physiological information exceeds the critical value, the chat bot can be used to send alarms to the family members and caretakers of the elders to achieve instant notification. Elderly family members and caretakers can also check the elder’s physiological information through chat bots. In addition, RFID receivers are installed at the entrances and exits of the
long-term care center. The elderly need to pass through the RFID tags to enter and exit. When entering and exiting, the camera takes pictures and transmits them to family members and caretakers through chat bots to avoid unauthorized entry and exit of patients to achieve safety control.
