Abstract:	積雲尺度對流和大尺度環流交互作用是熱帶大氣動力學的核心，而對流耦合赤道大氣波動即是真實世界中研究上述跨尺度交互作用之最佳範例。近期觀測研究顯示，對流耦合赤道大氣波動可透過改變大氣環境之動力和熱力結構，對劇烈天氣系統(颱風)發展產生顯著的影響，因此瞭解對流耦合赤道大氣波動之熱力和動力機制不僅是一個純科學議題，對於改善展期(1~4周)天氣預報技術也有很大助益。
