Abstract:	本專書寫作計畫主要是系統性整理計畫主持人及共同主持人過去的研究成果，主要內容是利用語言微觀分布的角度解釋方言接觸後語音的演變機制。花東是客家人二次移民的大本營，很多鄉鎮主要是南島語與客語的接觸，本專書除了將詳細描寫家戶語言調查的結果，紀錄並分析南島語與客語以及其他語言的空間分布界限，並進一步說明客語在不同語族空間的融合影響下，出現了那些地域變體。除了語言分布及客語地域變體，本專書也關注東部客語薪傳的相關問題，探討東部客語薪傳的現況及所面臨的困境。
