Abstract:	本計畫以新加坡多語言戲劇為例，分別從實踐劇團、必要劇團、湘靈社等三個語言媒介與策略不同的表演藝術團體，選擇兩個作品，檢視並追蹤自2008年以降近十五年來新加坡戲劇創作生產、政策資源分配、市場想像與觀眾容受更面向面向，探討亞洲多語言戲劇與其所在地的政治經濟社會的緊密互動。三個團體中，實踐劇團是新加坡歷史最悠久的現代戲劇團體，從華語戲劇時代轉進英/華雙語舞台，近年再度轉進多語戲劇。必要劇團是新加坡英語戲劇團體代表，自八十年代以來與新加坡國家文化政治與語言政策發展關係緊密；湘靈劇社是南音表演團體，創社於1941年，是新加坡典型族裔傳統表演團體代表，近年在多語言的嘗試可與前述現代戲劇團體進行比較分析。
