本研究採用發放問卷的方式蒐集資料,得出結果為: 勤勉審慎性、親和性與工作滿意度呈現顯著正相關,神經質性與工作滿意度呈現顯著負相關,經驗開放性則與工作滿意度沒有顯著的關聯性。工作重要性、自主性、回饋性與工作滿意度呈現顯著正相關,技能多樣性則與工作滿意度呈現顯著負相關。人格特質與工作特性之交互作用是否對工作滿意度有影響部分,研究結果顯示經驗開放性人格特質和回饋性的交互作用變項與工作滿意度呈現顯著正相關,意即當高經驗開放性的工程技術顧問業從業人員從事高回饋性的工作時,其工作滿意度就會越高。;This study aims to investigate the relationship among personality traits, job characteristics and job satisfaction for the employees of the engineering consulting firms, and will provide the conclusion of study for the engineering consulting firms as a reference to improve the employee’s job satisfaction. Personality traits are adopted as independent variables, job characteristics as moderating variables, and job satisfaction as dependent variables in study.
This study come to the conclusions from the replies of questionnaires issued to the employees of engineering consulting firms as follows: Conscientiousness, agreeableness respectively exists the significant positive correlation with job satisfaction;neuroticism appears significant negative correlation with job satisfaction;openness to experience has no significant correlation with job satisfaction.
In addition, task significance, autonomy, feedback respectively shows the significant positive correlation with job satisfaction;skill variety presents significant negative correlation with job satisfaction.
Regarding whether or not the interaction of personality traits and job characteristics will affect job satisfaction, this study finds the interaction term of openness to experience and feedback is to have the positive correlation with job satisfaction, that means the employees who have high openness to experience of personality traits will get higher job satisfaction when they are engaged in highly feedback work.
