    Introduction: 本所前身從中央大學資訊工程學系,陳德懷教授所主持的「學習科技實驗室」分支出來,該實驗室首先在1994年成為「國科會學習科技重點實驗室」,是台灣最早、也是唯一進行「學習科技」研究的重點實驗室。該實驗室後來因為在2000年獲得教育部補助第一梯次「大學學術追求卓越發展計畫」,進而分支出來,成為「網路學習科技研究所」。近年來,有鑒於網際網路、無線通訊、3G傳輸的科技日趨成熟,因此期望在資訊和通訊科技結合下,能發揮網路跨越時空的特性,且在突破與創新的理念下,能達成更有效益的學習。
